I. Rally and march planning
The group decided to hold the event on Thursday, October 27th, at 12-2 pm. After the rally on Terrell Mall outside the CUB, we’ll proceed to Stadium Way, then down Main Street to President Schulz’s office downtown. We will contact him beforehand to let him know our plan to rally and march and to request a meeting at the end of the event. We will also have a paper copy of the letter to deliver in the event that he isn’t available for meeting then. Ryan and Bill offered to give speeches at the rally. Olivia can provide a megaphone for it and the march.
We’ll also have a table on Terrell Mall at 11 am-2 pm on Wednesday, the 26th, and at 11 am-12 pm on the 27th, where we will distribute the flyers for the student petition and for the rally and march. We’ll have free donuts available. Stevie will reserve the table space.
Mason will edit the flyer for the student petition to include the information about FFWSU’s email address and meeting time and location. Olivia will create the flyer for the rally and march. Ryan will have both printed for distribution on the 26th and 27th. Stevie will ask ASWSU to post the rally and march flyer on social media and Abby will ask the sororities and fraternities to post it there.
Simon will contact the Moscow-Pullman Daily News and Stevie reporters at the VanCougar and Evergreen about announcing and covering the event.
Bill will send to Stevie a draft of the email to faculty asking them to participate in the rally and march and to let their students know. The email will go out on or around Monday, the 24th.
II. Sign making
Simon led the group in brainstorming slogans. He asked us to bring slogans to the next meeting on the index cards that were distributed. Simon will bring the paper and frames for making the signs at that meeting.
Next meeting: Tuesday, November 1st, 6 pm in CUB 206
